Queenborough, Sheppey, Canterbury with Swale

Queenborough is two miles south from Sheerness, on the river Swale. The population in 1851 was 772. It consists of one main street, and is chiefly supported by the oyster fishery. The church is an ancient edifice, consisting of nave, chancel, and tower. Here is a national school for boys and girls.
